Special Summer Concert

Updated: Aug 31, 2022

The hall was packed and there was a wonderful atmosphere at the con spirito summer concert held at Finchley Progressive Synagogue. We celebrated a happy year of chamber music with lively, committed performances of works by Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Reinecke, Dohnanyi and Kember. Each group showed character, communication and a sense of story-telling - well done everyone!

The concert also featured an atmospheric performance of Blind Willow, a piano trio by Lee Sollory composed for con spirito. Lee, the composer, said of the concert:'I could not be more delighted. Please congratulate your wonderful musicians for their performance'.

Of course, no con spirito concert is complete without cake and we enjoyed chatting in the garden and sharing everyone's delicious creations! A total of £440 was raised for the students' chosen charities: Food Cycle and the NNLS Drop In for Destitute Asylum Seekers. A big thank you to all and we look forward to seeing everyone on 18 September.
